ER/EMT Wound Inspection
For first-responders and ER personnel, a portable magnifier is essential to ensure that all foreign matter in a wound is seen and dealt with before closure and bandaging. A traditional-style handheld glass is especially useful for checking scalp lacerations, head lice, and other semi-hidden injuries and conditions.
A medium-power glass, such as the Zeiss D12-AR, is an excellent addition to any EMT field box, providing an optimum combination of wide field-of-view and practical working distance between glass and patient. It is also a handy aid in the clinic for stitch removal and similar tasks.
