Myoptica shipping charges are as follows:

For orders totaling under $120, the shipping charge is $10.00.
For orders of $120 or more, the shipping charge is $12.50

Taxes on Internet Purchases:

Myoptica's headquarters is located in Lincoln, Nebraska. In compliance with regulations of the State of Nebraska, Myoptica must charge Nebraska sales tax on all purchases delivered to addresses within Nebraska. That sales tax is currently 7%. Tax regulations also require that flat-rate shipping charges be included in the amount on which sales tax is calculated.

Current federal law exempts Internet commerce transactions from state sales tax when delivered to a states where a merchant does not have a physical presence. Therefore, tax is currently not added by Myoptica on orders delivered to states outside Nebraska. If future federal legislation or court action changes this tax exemption, we may be required to collect tax on shipments to other states.

Who May Order from myoptica.com:

Although the Internet makes it possible to sell products to any country on the globe, there are many legal and contractual issues, import/export restrictions, geographical distribution rights, etc. which must be dealt with by retailers before they can properly serve overseas markets. Although Myoptica would like to be able to serve customers from other countries, at this time we can only honor orders from the United States and Canada, and to U.S. servicemen and women through APO's. We hope to expand our market reach in the near future, so if you live outside the U.S. or Canada, please check back with us in the coming months.

Children under 16 must get permission from their parents before sending any information about themselves (such as their names, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers) over the Internet, to us or to anyone else. myoptica.com will prominently post a message at the top of its order entry page advising that children under 16 are not allowed to enter this personal information or place an order. However, Myoptica has no way to verify the age of visitors to its site, and assumes no responsibility for unauthorized use of its site by minors. Moreover, we will not accept credit cards from buyers determined to be under 18-years-old.

Buying from Myoptica Offline:

For those who prefer not to expose their credit card information on the Internet, Myoptica provides a second method of purchase which does not require the online posting of any personal information. This involves sending an e-mail to Myoptica through our contact page, listing the desired items, your phone number, and the best time to call you during the day. We will call you back to take the credit card information over the phone, or give you instructions on sending a personal check for the purchase amount. However, this method may delay the shipment of your order up to 3 days for a credit card taken over the phone, and up to 10 days for a check received by mail.
